Funkyfing Jr.1 Kids Smartwatch Questions

Does the Funkyfing Jr.1 come with a SIM card?

The Funkyfing Jr.1 does not come with a SIM card. You’ll need to purchase a separate SIM card to insert into the watch. We recommend Melon Mobile SIM cards for the best compatibility.

Does it only work with a Melon Mobile SIM card?

The watch can technically work with other networks, but we recommend Melon Mobile for full feature support and reliability.

How can I check my balance on Funkyfing Jr.1?

You can check your balance by logging into your Melon Mobile app or website. Alternatively, insert the SIM into a phone and dial *136# to check balance.

Why won’t my SIM card work?

Ensure the SIM is activated, has data, and is inserted correctly (gold contacts facing down). Restart the watch after inserting.

Why won’t my watch charge?

Check that the charging pins are clean and aligned with the magnetic charger. Use a 5V 1A adapter (not a fast charger).

I keep losing connection - is my faulty charge or network?

Most likely it’s a signal issue. Make sure you have a strong mobile data signal and stable Wi-Fi. Weak networks can cause disconnections.

How can I make the battery last longer?

Reduce screen brightness, disable constant GPS tracking, and ensure you’re not using continuous video calling or live tracking unnecessarily.

How do I set the date and time on the watch?

The watch automatically updates its time and date via the network connection once connected to the app.

Why can’t the watch ring for calls or notify when I have a message?

Check notification permissions in the app and make sure “Silent” or “Do Not Disturb” mode is off. Also confirm SIM data is active.

Can I leave the watch in water?

The watch is splash-resistant but not waterproof. Avoid submerging in water or using it while swimming or bathing.

Why does the watch show a high temperature warning?

The internal chip may heat slightly during charging or prolonged use. If the message persists, let it cool down before using again.

What speed modes does the watch have?

There are walking, running, and cycling modes that track distance and basic activity through step detection sensors.

How many contacts can I add to Funkyfing Jr.1?

You can add up to 10 contacts through the parental control app.

Can kids send photos to parents?

Yes, kids can send photos via the chat feature to approved contacts.

Can I use the Funkyfing group chat for free/playback one Funkyfing Jr.1?

Yes, messaging between connected Funkyfing Jr.1 watches via the app is free (uses data, not SMS).

How do I add more people to connect with the watch?

Use the main app to send invite links or QR codes to family members to add them to the watch contact list.

Will my child see text messages I send during class time?

No. You can enable “Class Mode” in the app to restrict message notifications during school hours.

Can the Funkyfing Jr.1 download apps like WhatsApp or Facebook?

No. The watch only supports its built-in messaging and calling functions for safety reasons.

How do I open the app?

Download and install the official Funkyfing app from Google Play or the App Store, then create an account.

How do I connect (bind) the watch in the app?

Open the app, scan the QR code from the watch screen, and follow prompts to bind it to your account.

Why can’t I get the verification code when signing up with an email?

Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure your email is entered correctly.

Why can’t I sign in after registration?

Ensure your credentials are correct. Try resetting your password or updating to the latest app version.

How can family members manage the watch together?

Use the “Family Members” feature in the app to invite others by email or QR code for shared management.

Why am I not getting notifications?

Check phone settings to ensure app notifications and background permissions are enabled.

Why won’t I receive voice audios in the chat?

Make sure data is active and the app has microphone and storage permissions.

Why can’t I see my child’s chat history?

For privacy, only recent messages are stored. Enable chat backup in settings to keep longer histories.

Why can’t I receive or see video calls/notifications?

Ensure both watch and app have stable data connections and the video call feature is turned on in the app settings.

How long are voice notes kept?

Voice notes are kept for 7 days by default before being automatically deleted.

Why does the watch sometimes show as offline when trying to locate it?

The watch may be out of signal range, turned off, or the SIM data might be depleted.

Why isn’t the location always accurate?

GPS accuracy depends on signal strength. Indoors, accuracy may vary by up to 50 meters.

Can the watch be locked during class periods?

Yes. Enable “Class Mode” in the app to disable all watch functions except SOS calls.
